Bands and choirs
Running band programs is a core part of Martin's Music program and flexibility is the key. Whatever the combination of instruments or singers and abilities I can make arrangements that push students to their limits while still being fun, interactive, modern and creative. I like to incorporate modern pop songs and Disney songs to win students' interest and then find they are perfectly willing to try anything I throw at them.
I have a complete P.A. set up with cordless hand-held and headset microphones, front of house and foldback speakers and lighting which I'm happy to use in rehearsal/class rooms and for concerts.
Below is a list of past arrangements I have done and some recordings which I place on a www.box.com site for children to practice to along with all the parts. These can be listened to on the site or downloaded to be played on iPods, computers or CD players. I find this an invaluable tool for practice, expecially as I often put up slow, medium and full speed version of songs/pieces to help with practice.
